Dear Residents,
Happy back to school! We’re thrilled to host another Women in Leadership Series Chat, inviting Anna Kwong, a renowned architect in Hong Kong, and Alumni of our Hall for an inspiring talk.
📅 Date: March 4th (Tuesday)
🕒 Time: 7 pm – 8 pm
📍 Venue: 1F lounge

Ms. Kwong is a trailblazer in the heavily male-dominated architecture industry in Hong Kong. As the first female president in the history of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to the field. Her commitment to the conservation of historical architecture has earned her numerous accolades, including the Honorable Mention by the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Conservation Award in 2023 for her work on the restoration of the Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Caine Road, Mid-levels.

In this talk, Ms. Kwong will reflect on her time as a student at HKU and Lady Ho Tung Hall (LHTH), and share her journey from a young architect student to a renowned architect. She will discuss the challenges and obstacles she overcame and her experiences in a field traditionally dominated by men.

This event is a unique opportunity to gain insights into the architecture profession and be inspired by Ms. Kwong’s dedication and accomplishments. We encourage students from all faculty to attend and be part of this enriching experience.

We will serve drinks and refreshments! Please RSVP via https://forms.gle/ewvaZmh1TTj1o69P8 by March 1st.

See you then.

Best regards,
