Admissions

Admissions is managed by the Hall Office and monitored by the Admissions Committee which consists of the Warden, the Senior Resident Tutor, a tutor, members of the student association, and elected student representatives.

Check website announcements for updated deadlines and information. Announcements will also be sent to residents via email and posted in the public areas of the Hall. It is the responsibility of current and prospective residents to adhere to this information.

There are different types of admissions. Contact CEDARS or the LHTH Hall Office if you do not know which round you are eligible for.

R1 ; Readmission

Early-Mid April

Round 1 Admissions

Students must complete two forms: HKU portal and LHTH internal form.

Some students may be invited to an interview by the Admissions Committee.

Eligible Students : Residents in current year seeking re-admission

Round 2 Admissions

Students must apply via the HKU portal.

All applicants will be invited to attend an interview in person or on zoom. Interview is required for admission.

Eligible Students :

Newly-admitted local undergraduate students. Current students who have no prior experience living in residential halls/ Residential Colleges.

UGC-funded postgraduate students newly-admitted or no prior experience.

Central Clearing House (CCH) 

Central Clearing House (CCH) 

Students must apply via the HKU portal. R1 unsuccessful students must also complete internal LHTH form.

Eligible Students :

All UGC-funded undergraduate and postgraduate students. Former LHTH residents who were unsuccessful R1 or returning from exchange.
