Dear Residents,

Lady Ho Tung Hall is committed to fostering student involvement and collaboration in its administration. To ensure a fair and transparent readmission selection process, we are inviting nominations for student representation on Admissions Committee 2025-26.

Admissions Committee:
The admission panel is responsible for reviewing, evaluating and interviewing applications submitted by prospective students. They assess various factors such as academic performance, extracurricular activities, and other relevant criteria to ensure a fair and transparent selection process.

Composition and requirements of the Admission Panel

Composition
  • The Warden and/or Senior Tutor; and
  • One tutor assigned by the Warden or Senior Tutor; and
  • Two local students and two non-local students’ Admission Officers, residents in good standing elected by the residents. She may be terminated by the Warden and/or Senior Tutor.
Additional Notes
  • The overall composition of either panel shall represent the diversity of the Hall.
  • Four student resident representatives are invited to serve the panel(s) on a rotational basis throughout the year.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have lived in LHTH for at least two semesters (including this semester) and plan to reside in the Hall for the entire academic year.
  • Students may step down from the position after semester 2 if they do not continue residency in the Hall due to failure to obtain readmission, study abroad or other withdrawal.
  • The overall composition of each panel should reflect the diversity of the Hall.

  • Gain experience to qualify for RA position in the future.

Regulations and Procedures: 

Each candidate may self-nominate.

Complete the nomination form, and submit to hall office not later than 21 February 2025, 17:30 (HKT).

Failure to adhere to the regulations may result in disqualification.

Any candidate may withdraw his/her nomination within the withdrawal period by writing to lhthall@hku.hk
